Nordea Bank vs. Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc

Today’s Score 0:1

Total Score 0:4

Banking team Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG from here onwards) is all set to ascend further in the tournament after defeating its opponent in the round of sixteen this week.

SMFG has defeated Nordea Bank by dominating consecutively in the first 3 rounds, conceding a draw in the fourth and winning today's last round as well!

Team SMFG has a trailing twelve month Price to Earnings (PE) ratio of 7.2 which places it below the historical average of roughly 15. SMFG is currently trading at a good value due to investors paying less than what the stock is worth in relation to its earnings.

This team is Japan's second-largest bank by assets, and it lifted its net profit forecast for the full year to March by 5% to 770 billion yen ($5.51 billion) after posting an 8% profit increase for July-September.

Moreover, the team owns 22% of Morgan Stanley and has seen a healthy growth in overseas lending this year.

The team’s performance in this tournament has been very ambitious, and they look determined to go until the very end. Will they be able to get through the thrilling quarter finals next week? Stay tuned to find out!

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria vs. Itaú Unibanco

Today’s Score 1:0

Total Score 3:1

This was devastating for the Itaú Unibanco’s fans. The team who tried so hard to reach this part of the tournament- has now been knocked out for good!

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA from here onwards) defeated Itaú Unibanco this week in the round of sixteen and is all set to go to next week’s quarterfinals.

On Friday, team BBVA managed to score the third point for themselves while their opponent Itaú Unibanco stood at only one point.

Team BBVA is a Spanish multinational financial services company based in Madrid and Bilbao, Spain. It is one of the largest financial institutions in the world, and is present mainly in Spain, South America, North America, Turkey, and Romania.

According to most experts, BBVA is near the top in its sector. It scores higher than 70% of the stock in its sector. In its recent quarterly report, the team reported a net income of COP 987 billion, which represents a growth of 60% year-over-year and led to a 1.3% return on assets and a 20.9% on return on equity with annual increases 14 basis points and 505 basis points respectively.

Despite the tightening of interest rates and local political uncertainties, the team reported strong results.

The BBVA team has proven to be quite strong and determined. Anyone playing against it would have to be very careful in the future!

Decentraland vs. Ontology

Today’s Score 0:1

Total Score 0:5

An absolutely abysmal performance by Decentraland, or a wonderful performance by Ontology?

Whichever the case, Ontology has managed to score all five rounds in their own favour and has defeated Decentraland quite ruthlessly.

Team Ontology is a new high-performance, public blockchain-based project. Such a decentralized, open and standardized platform is suitable for implementation in many industries, allowing various companies to create a user friendly, interactive and blockchain-based environment for their businesses.

This is a bad time for the crypto world. The whole crypto world is on a verge of a complete breakdown. Bitcoin has fallen 75% from its all-time high amid broader market declines caused by raging inflation and US Fed rate hikes.

Nevertheless, most experts cite good views about team Ontology. It has been regarded as a good long term investment. For almost a period of 5+ years.

These factors have gave Ontology the push it needed to get into the quarterfinals. But will it be sufficient to take the team even further? We'll find out soon enough!
