The quarter finals have started with a bang!

The stage for which all the teams fought for with their full zeal and zest- has finally arrived. The eight teams who reached here are over the moon, and all eyes are on them as they are going to strive to reach the semis.

Industrial Bank is facing Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria in the round of eight. The latter lost the first round and set off with a bumpy start.

Team Industrial Bank, a Chinese commercial bank, engages in the provision of corporate and personal banking services, financial lease, assets custody services, and conducting treasury business.

The last quarter has been considerably good for this banking team. The analysts at yahoo finance predict only good results for both the stock’s EPS and revenue in the upcoming quarters. Everyone’s betting greatly on this team — in the market as well as in this tournament.

On the other hand, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA from here onwards) defeated Itaú Unibanco last week with a very valiant performance. It’s a team that cannot be disregarded at all!

Two powerful banking teams are up against each other in the quarter finals, but only one can move forward to the semi finals.

These two teams are Bank Central Asia and Barclays. Their resilient performance in the round of sixteen and thirty two have been especially good to watch for the fans. Even for us!

Day one started off with Bank Central Asia scoring the first point in this week. So, their opponent Barclays are off to a weak start. Let us introduce both the teams briefly for this stage.

Bank Central Asia, is an Indonesian bank founded on 21 February 1957. It is considered as the largest privately owned bank in Indonesia.

This team has been looking to scale up its wealth management services and improve customer engagement, and has selected Avaloq’s tech to streamline its back and front-office functions for investment services. This news came recently when BCA partnered up with Avaloq to migrate its wealth management system to Avaloq Core.

On the other hand, Barclays is a British multinational universal bank, headquartered in London, England. Barclays operates as two divisions, Barclays UK and Barclays International, supported by a service company, Barclays Execution Services.

The team’s performance in the market slightly declined recently. But the bulls are still in their favor. In recent news, the CEO of Barclays Bank, Venkat has been diagnosed with cancer. Maybe that's the reason why the atmosphere among the players has been a little gloomy.
