What an absolutely beautiful game played by Team Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria!

After losing the first two rounds against the Industrial Bank, the team didn’t lower its spirit. But instead, they came and became even stronger. Winning the last three rounds consecutively, they played like never before and now have won this match!

This Spanish multinational financial services company based in Madrid and Bilbao, Spain, is one of the largest financial institutions in the world.

Experts and analysts at JPMorgan and RBC Capital have rated this team to be undervalued and a very profitable European bank stock to invest in. Overall, the team is doing remarkably in the market as well in this tournament.

It is all set to go in the next week and play the semifinals!

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial vs. ICBC

Today’s Score 1:0

Total Score 3:1

We’ve another semifinalist in our banking club. And it is none other than Mitsubishi UFJ Financial.

Finally scoring their third round in the quarterfinal week against team ICBC , team MUFJ is all set to ascend further in the tournament!

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group is a leading global financial services group and one of the largest banking institutions in Japan. MUFG holds assets of around US$3.1 trillion as of 2016 and is one of the "Three Great Houses" of the Mitsubishi Group alongside Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

Despite going through more than a 70% slump in Q2 profit, the team has been trying to do pretty well. The team aims to beef up its business in Asia to tap growth in consumption in emerging markets, while ultralow interest rates and an aging population limit business opportunities at home.

For this, it announced the purchase of the Philippine and Indonesian units of Dutch consumer finance company Home Credit Group for about €596 million ($621 million, ¥86.2 billion). This along with other acquisitions have been proving to be good for the bank.

On the other hand, team Industrial Bank could’ve done much better than this. But it didn’t. As a result, MUFJ financials is all set to go further!

Cosmos vs. Ontology

Today’s Score 1:0

Total Score 3:2

What an incredible performance!

The tie broke and and who other than Cosmos could've done it? No one!

Cosmos has finally scored their third round against Ontology. They’re through the quarterfinal, and into the semifinals next week! This was a very thrilling match, which went on for five whole rounds.

Cosmos bills itself as a project that solves some of the “hardest problems” facing the blockchain industry. It aims to offer an antidote to “slow, expensive, unscalable and environmentally harmful” proof-of-work protocols, like those used by Bitcoin, by offering an ecosystem of connected blockchains.

The team made waves recently after publishing a proposal to redesign its Cosmos (ATOM) native token issuance process. Consequently, the rumor was bought, and the news was sold, with Cosmos (ATOM) tokens doing a substantial 7% increase on the week.

Despite being at 30% fall in a month, they made it through this week. And that’s what matters in this tournament.

Will they be able to fight like this next week as well? Stay tuned to find out for yourself!
