Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc vs. Barclays
Today’s Score 1:0
Total Score 3:0
We have the first finalist of this tournament, and it’s NOT Barclays.
What an absolutely commanding performance by team Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc in their semi final of this tournament. They’ve managed to score three consecutive points against the team Barclays and are over the moon.
They’ve secured their position in the final match next week. And it’s a big thing for them, and everyone who has been betting on them.
They deserve a brief introduction again. Team SMFG is a Japanese multinational banking and financial services institution headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
It is the holding company of SMBC Group, which is one of the three largest banking groups in Japan. The group operates in retail, corporate, and investment banking segments worldwide.
It provides financial products and services to a wide range of clients, including individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises, large corporations, financial institutions and public sector entities.
Its amazing performance in this tournament was as a result of the team’s different acquisition and partnership that it strategically planned this year. Its outlook for the future also looks quite promising.

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria vs. Mitsubishi UFJ Financial
Today’s Score 0:1
Total Score 1:2
Day three begins with more exciting results for both the teams in the semi final club. The tie between Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial broke on Wednesday, when team MUFJ Financials scored a point against BBVA.
Team MUFJ Financials started off with the first score in this crucial week - and has been doing pretty well till now.
The recent sale of MUFG Union Bank that we mentioned in the last article has been proving to be quite a good deal for the bank. Moreover, the investment observer has given Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc (MUFG) a strong valuation ranking of 91. This means that the team has a better value than 91% of stocks based on these valuation analytics.
MUFG currently has a 12-month-forward-PE-to-Growth (PEG) ratio of 1.17. The market is currently fairly valuing MUFG in relation to its projected growth due to the PEG ratio being around the fair market value of 1.
These ratios paint a pretty adequate picture for MUFG at its current price due to a fairly valued PEG ratio despite strong growth.
It needs another strong play to get one more score this week to be able to qualify for the final.
Loopring vs. Compound
Today’s Score 1:0
Total Score 3:0
Drum roll!
We have the first finalist for the crypto club as well. And it’s none other than team Loopring.
They managed to score three consecutive points in the first three rounds of the semi final week and have won the seat to the final now.
Even though the fundamentals from yesterday showed a risky future for the team- Loopring proved everyone wrong. Team Loopring (LRC) is an Ethereum token that describes itself as “an open-source, audited, and non-custodial exchange protocol.”
The team’s stated purpose is to create a hybrid platform that combines prominent features of both centralized and decentralized exchanges.
Loopring (LRC) could be a valuable crypto asset to crypto investors. Its impressive run in the previous bull market indicates that it has the propensity to make an excellent rally if the market condition is favorable.
Making it to the final in this tournament has made it the most attractive for everyone. Does it have the power to make it through the final week? We’ll soon find out.
