FAQs
Worldcup.one is the first tournament for stocks, businesses and financial assets. Stocks and businesses from different branches are selected by the Worldcup.one team to go head to head in a series of matches, in the same format as a particular tournament you probably know quite well. Soon, it will be possible to place bets on the outcome of matches and tournaments. Right now, Worldcup.one is purely for your entertainment.
Currently, Worldcup.one is a prototype. You can follow along with the fixtures, keep an eye on your favourite stock or coin, and take a guess at who may win. Our blog is updated daily and provides commentary on the matches, written by experts. There is no option to place bets on matches.
In the not so distant future, it will be possible to place bets on the outcome of matches and tournaments on Worldcup.one. Are you ready to take "playing the stock market" to a whole new level? Pre-register now, stay in the loop, and get exclusive early access when we launch worldcup.one betting.
- Matches are broken down into rounds
- The number of rounds is always odd. The usual format is five rounds.
- At the beginning of each round the starting price of the participant is indexed at 100%. At the end of the round, the participant with the highest percentage difference (i.e. better relative performance) wins the round.
- The participant who wins the round is awarded one point. And the participant who wins the most points (rounds), wins the match.
- During the group stages of the the tournament the group standings are calculated as follows:
- Participants are ranked in order of the number of wins
- If there are participants with the same number of wins, the participant with the most points is ranked higher
- If there are participants with the same number of points, the participant with larger accumulated score is ranked higher. The score is the relative performance of a participant during a round.
